Welcome and Orientation Events

Greetings!

Greetings and welcome to the Master's in Telecommunications Program (ENTS) at the University of Maryland! We are looking forward to meeting you this coming semester. In the meantime, we hope that the information provided here will help ease your transition into graduate student life.

If you have not yet notified the Program Office of your intent to enroll, please do so by completing the Enrollment Form in your ApplyYourself Application.

New Student Welcome Session

The ENTS Program Office will hold a New Student Welcome and Orientation session to kick off the new year! This session will provide you with an introduction to the ECE Department, program leadership, TSAN, and an overview of the program. The New Student Welcome will be followed by lunch.During lunch, we will hold a Graduate Student Resource fair, where new students get a chance to interact with various UMD organizations such as the Graduate Student Government, Graduate Student Life Office, Off-Campus Housing, etc.

New Student Orientation Sessions

At this session, students will hear presentations about courses and degree planning. It will also feature presentations on student services, graduate student regulations, academic integrity, and career services. The Orientation Session will take place directly after the New Student Welcome and Lunch.

International Students

International Student Orientation

The Office of International Student & Scholar Services organizes the International Student Orientation to answer questions that may arise as you make your transition to the University of Maryland. International students are required to attend ONE Immigration Session. You must register for your preferred session via iTerp.

Dates: Various throughout August 2018

Location: Tydings Hall 1101

The ENTS Program Office strongly encourages our International Students to attend the ISSS General Sessions. Refer to the ISSS Orientation Schedule for specific details.
