Greetings and welcome to the Master's in Telecommunications Program (ENTS) at the University of Maryland! We are looking forward to meeting you this coming semester. In the meantime, we hope that the information provided here will help ease your transition into graduate student life. Our New Student Checklist will help guide you through tasks to complete for the start of the semester and provide a quick resource guide for the campus and program offices.
If you have not yet notified the Program Office of your intent to enroll, please do so by completing the Enrollment Form in your ApplyYourself Application.
New Student Welcome Session
The ENTS Program Office will hold a New Student Welcome to kick off the new year! This mandatory session will provide you with an introduction to the ECE Department, program leadership, TSAN, and an overview of the program. The New Student Welcome will be followed by lunch. At this session, students will hear presentations about courses and degree planning. This session will also feature presentations on student services, graduate student regulations, academic integrity, and career services. Please arrive promptly and bring your Student ID card to sign-in!

New Student Orientation Sessions
New students (fall start only) are required to attend ONE ENTS Orientation Session in addition to the New Student Welcome. At this session, students will hear presentations about courses and degree planning. It will also feature presentations on student services, graduate student regulations, academic integrity, and career services. Please choose one session from the dates below:

International Student Orientation
The Office of International Student & Scholar Services organizes the International Student Orientation to answer questions that may arise as you make your transition to the University of Maryland. International students are required to attend ONE Immigration Session. You must register for your preferred session via iTerp. There are a variety of other orientation activities and events scheduled throughout January. Please refer here for more details.

MEIPE/MEWT English Testing
The MEIPE/MEWT English testing is only required for those students admitted with an English Provision. You may submit additional TOEFL/IELTS scores up until January 1. If you have questions about this provision, please contact the Graduate School directly.
